American History Grant

Cindy Mapston from Montana State is the coordinator for the American History Grant. Through this grant teachers receive training with the Problem Based Learning model to teach students American History. They also receive training in all eras of American history by taking 2 online courses where they receive 3 graduate credits each semester through Seattle Pacific University.

A summer conference is also held where continued work is done with the PBL model which strengthens knowledge in American history. This summer’s conference will be held July 19-23 in Seattle, Washington on the University campus. The grant pays for all expenses and you will be paid a summer stipend as well.
