March 28, 2007 ACE Board Meeting

1. Call to order, introduction of guests


2. Approval of February 28, 2007 minutes


3. Approval of Financial reports


4. April 23 – 24 OPI Assessment Conference (attached).


5. Eric Jensen presentation in Great Falls (attached)  ACE has 5 spaces if we wish to go.


6. March 15 Art and Music curriculum review. .. 36 attended from 14 member schools.


7. March 5, 2007 PIR day …
   I have 512 names from 33 schools and special education coops that attended.  The evaluations are still being compiled.  $15 Bills will be sent to the schools and cooperatives.  I have not received billing for the lunches yet.  ACE has paid $5,696.29 for speaker fees, materials and mileage.  Wayne Calender’s fee will be $1,200 plus expenses.  I will send out billing for 512 attendees at $15 for a total of $7,680.  Do we want to reserve space at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center for March 3?


8. Wee Can Write workshop, April 5 – 6 in Portland.  Kathy Barnes, Jeri Heard, Molly Moore and Kay Faust were selected to attend (from Columbus, Shepherd and Laurel) … Am I to bill the schools for any part of this?


9. ASCD Annual National Conference report.  7 attended plus myself.  I asked for a report from each and will have a final report at the next meeting.


10. Ryan Conrad … Nova Net proposal and presentation


11. Liz Cunningham .. TEST Showcase on April 24 – 25 and future ACE technology grant information.
